little things

I'm going home in just a couple of short days, where I will experience the joys of my baby nephew, Thanksgiving cuisine minus the turkey, and a week of decompression after weeks of utter school mania.
Another happy note: Today is the birthday of one of my positively favorite people, Kevin.... Last night, my other half, Hubinger, and I had him over around midnight, and we were the first ones to see him on his birthday. So, owing to that privilege, we were sure to enumerate to him the reasons why we love and appreciate him so much. Call it sappy if you will, but he's our favorite. He got a preview of our presents to him, but he'll only feel the full extent of them tonight, when he gets to take home our haphazardly mixed cds and give them a thorough listen.
Kevin's quote of the day (actually, it may not be the best one, but the most recent): "Oh, don't thank me. My victory will be bittersweet... like pepperoni pizza..."
Here are some other things that are currently tickling my nose and am always thankful for:... my parents, my college family, my college life, my health, ugly picture frames, obnoxious and inspiring music, my debate kids, laughter becoming tears, old friends, new friends, intellectual conversations, dreamy boys, autumn leaves, epiphanies, long showers, free expression, Russian words with umlauts, romantic sparks, fresh laundry, perfect weather, random kindness, esp, knowing silences, my brother and his growing family, held convictions, sincerity, and, of course, holidays which give you an added opportunity to remind those special ones you love them.
